The Vivo V20 Pro was launched as the company's latest 5G smartphone in India on Wednesday. As well as dual selfie cameras, the new model comes with triple rear cameras. It also comes with a traditional notch for the display. The Vivo V20 Pro is recognised as the smallest 5G phone in its class. The Vivo V20 Pro's hardware, however, brings it to an arena that already has the OnePlus Nord as a powerful contender. In the same price segment, the phone competes with the Samsung Galaxy A71 as well.

In this article, to outline some on-paper differences, we compare the Vivo V20 Pro price in India and specifications with those of the OnePlus Nord and Samsung Galaxy A71.

Vivo V20 Pro 5G vs OnePlus Nord vs Samsung Galaxy A71: Price in India

For the single 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant, the Vivo V20 Pro price in India is fixed at Rs. 29,990. The phone comes with colour options for Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody.
For the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, the OnePlus Nord carries a starting cost of Rs. 24,999 and has two other variants: 8GB + 128GB for Rs. 27,999 and 12GB + 256GB for Rs. 29,999. For the 8GB and 12GB RAM options, the OnePlus Nord is available in Blue Marble and Gray Onyx, while its base 6GB RAM model comes in a single Grey Onyx colour. A Gray Ash colour option was also recently obtained for the 12GB RAM variant. For the lone 8 GB RAM + 128 GB variant, the price of the Samsung Galaxy A71 is Rs. 29,499, and the phone comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Silver, Haze Crush Silver, and Prism Crush Blue colours.

#OS

All three phones come with dual-SIM (Nano) support for the Vivo V20 Pro, the OnePlus Nord, and the Samsung Galaxy A71. The Vivo V20 Pro has an edge as it runs on Android 11 as part of the operating system. Android 10 still comes with the OnePlus Nord and the Samsung Galaxy A71. As the Vivo V20 Pro has Funtouch OS 11, there are also differences in custom skins, while the OnePlus Nord features OxygenOS 10.5.9 and the Samsung Galaxy A71 has One UI 2.0.0.

#Display

A 6.44-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio comes with the Vivo V20 Pro. This is similar to the OnePlus Nord, which also comes with an AMOLED display with a 6.44-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels). The OnePlus Nord, though, has a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the regular 60Hz refresh rate is required for the Vivo V20 Pro. A 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate comes with the Samsung Galaxy A71.

#Processor

In addition to 8GB of RAM, the Vivo V20 Pro comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. There is also the same SoC in the OnePlus Nord, but with up to 12GB of RAM. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, combined with 8 GB of RAM, is used on the Samsung Galaxy A71.

#RearCamera

With a 64-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.89 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, the Vivo V20 Pro has a triple rear camera design. The OnePlus Nord features a quad rear camera configuration that includes a 48-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.75 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.25 lens, as well as a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 5-megapixel f/2.4 aperture depth shooter. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A71 comes with a quad rear camera configuration that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, an f/2.2 lens 5-megapixel depth sensor, and an f/2.4 macro lens 5-megapixel sensor.

A dual selfie camera configuration is also included in the OnePlus Nord, comprising of a 32-megapixel main sensor with an f/2.45 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.45 lens. However a single 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens is available for the Samsung Galaxy A71.

#Battery

A 4,000mAh battery is used on the Vivo V20 Pro, which is marginally smaller in size than the 4,115mAh battery available on the OnePlus Nord. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A71 provides a bigger 4,500mAh battery. The Vivo V20 Pro supports 33W FlashCharge, Warp Charge 30T is supplied with the OnePlus Nord, and 25W fast charging support is available for the Samsung Galaxy A71.

#Connectivity

The Vivo V20 Pro and OnePlus Nord are almost similar, while NFC is used in the latter, which the former does not. On both devices, you can get 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port, among others. In the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A71 has lower support for compatibility over the Vivo V20 Pro and OnePlus Nord, as it does not operate on a 5G network. That said, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port are also provided on the Samsung handset.
